ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Quebec in 1974, Stéphane Lajoie became a civil engineer with a master's degree in water treatment from Laval University in 1999. He worked for his own engineering firm, INGANG DESIGN, based on the arts-business relationship principle, while developing his career as a visual artist.
Graduated from the School of Visual and Media Arts of the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) in 2014, Stéphane Lajoie participated in the PROMART international painting symposium in Haiti in 2017 and organized his first solo exhibition and catalog EARLY WORKS in 2020 in Montreal. He has since produced a second catalog in 2022, EXPO 17 and is currently exhibiting in London, UK.
His works incorporate collage, painting, infographics and sculpture. His style is raw, expressive and engaged.
